Cedar Needs Attention
Cedar siding adds natural beauty to your home, but keeping its appearance requires ongoing attention. Repainting, staining, and replacing damaged shingles can increase long-term expenses. When moisture penetrates exposed wood, rot may form and lead to further issues. You may want to refresh your home’s exterior while preserving its traditional cedar look. NuCedar offers an option for homeowners seeking cedar-inspired charm with reduced routine maintenance.

Your Questions Answered
Learn about NuCedar pricing, siding styles, installation, color, and warranty details to help plan your Connecticut home’s exterior with K.P. LaMarco.
How much does NuCedar siding cost in CT?
NuCedar pricing is project-specific. Your wall area, selected profile, trim, old siding removal, and any repairs needed before installation affect the estimate. We provide a free quote for your home’s scope. When comparing proposals, check whether removal, disposal, surface repairs, and trim are included.
Is NuCedar siding real wood?
No. NuCedar is cedar-look siding made from cellular PVC, not natural wood. It recreates cedar’s texture while offering moisture resistance and less routine upkeep.
Which NuCedar siding styles can I choose?
NuCedar comes in shingle and vertical siding profiles. Shingles feature a RoughSawn texture, while NuCedar vertical siding includes options such as board and batten. Factory-finished colors and coordinated trim give you options for planning the exterior as a whole.
Does NuCedar siding need painting or maintenance?
NuCedar does not need the routine staining or painting associated with natural cedar, but it is low-maintenance, not maintenance-free. Periodic cleaning is still needed because dirt and surface mildew can accumulate. Follow the manufacturer’s care guidance and check its warranty restrictions before repainting.
What does NuCedar siding installation in CT include?
For replacement projects, we remove failing siding, check the underlying surface, address necessary repairs, and install the selected siding and trim. We begin with a consultation and a defined scope. Your proposal should specify the preparation, repairs, and finishing details included for your home.
What does the NuCedar siding warranty cover?
NuCedar’s manufacturer lists a limited lifetime warranty on the product and factory finish, including specified material and coating defects. Coverage depends on the written warranty terms. Review the current document before installation, especially its care requirements and restrictions on repainting.
